Situation Analysis of Children in Pakistan

1 min read

The Situation Analysis of Children in Pakistan, published by UNICEF Pakistan, considers the progress made in recent years and outlines issues to be considered in policy-making to strengthen the realisation of children’s rights. While taking stock of progress in Pakistan, it also identifies gaps and priorities for government-led programme interventions.

The report aims to support national efforts and institutions in their endeavour to realise and uphold the rights of all girls and boys as set out in the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). It also provides the basis for policy-making, legislation and adjusting UNICEF’s programme interventions and strategies, so that they remain relevant to the lives of girls, boys and women, especially the most vulnerable and disadvantaged members of these groups.

This report is a result of a long consultative process among UNICEF programmes and their relevant partners including Federal and Provincial Government ministries and departments, as well as civil society organisations.
