Policy Brief on Forced Conversion

1 min read

Forced conversion of children, particularly religious minority children, is a recognised  issue in Pakistan. Non-Muslim children, particularly Hindus, Christians, and Sikhs, are vulnerable to forced conversion. The case of Arzoo Raja prompted the National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC) to conduct a thorough analysis of the problem of forced conversion of minority women and girls throughout Pakistan.

NCRC issued a Policy Brief on the Issue of Forced Conversion of Children with recommendations in 2022. Read the Report here.
