RAWALPINDI: Police in the Jatli area of Rawalpindi have registered a case against two suspects and arrested one of them for allegedly sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy, filming the incident and circulating the video on social media.

According to the FIR, a complainant told the police that he was informed by locals that an obscene video of his son was being shared in WhatsApp groups.

He later viewed the video on a cousin’s phone, which allegedly showed a suspect assaulting his son while another individual, Naveed Javed, recorded the footage.

Upon questioning, the boy revealed that in September 2024, both suspects forcibly took him to a deserted area near the village, assaulted him, and then threatened to leak the video.

The footage was later shared online.

Police have arrested one suspect and are conducting raids to apprehend the second.

Local police said raids were being carried out and the other accused will be arrested soon.
