She said polio workers are our real heroes. “Parents will give two drops of anti-polio vaccine to children. Parents should cooperate with anti-polio workers for a healthy and disability-free society,” she said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema said that all institutions should play their key role in making the five-day polio campaign starting from Oct 28 a success.

He said that our focus was on high-risk union councils and non-attended and rejection cases. He said that all departments concerned have implemented the anti-polio campaign under the coordinated links and effective strategy.

He said that a hundred percent implementation of the Union Council-wise micro plan should be ensured.

He expressed these views while presiding over the administrative review meeting of the polio campaign.

The meeting was informed that during the polio campaign, 998,924 children under five years of age will be given polio drops.
