Man Held For Unleashing Dog On Minor

BAHAWALNAGAR: The Bakhshan Khan police on 27th June arrested a man accused of unleashing a dog on a minor boy in village Mochipura.

Complainant Daud Khan told the police that a few days ago he had exchanged harsh words with his neighbour Muhammad Chand alias Kale Khan when he asked him to not let his pet loose.

He alleged that on June 27 at 9am his son Usman (5) was in the street when Chand unleashed his dog on him. The dog mauled the boy, leaving him seriously injured and he was shifted to a hospital for treatment, he added.

A press release issued by the DPO office said that after DPO Kamran Asghar took notice of the incident, police registered a case against the dog owner under section 289 of the PPC and arrested him.
