1 min read

RAWALPINDI: A father killed his daughter for not deleting a TikTok account from her mobile phone in the limits of Rawat Police Station, a Rawalpindi Police spokesman said on 09-July-2025.

The Rawat Police received information that the accused had asked his 16-year-old daughter to delete her TikTok account and shot her dead for refusing to do so.

The spokesman said the victim’s family termed the incident a suicide.

However, the police after investigation found that it was a murder in the name of ‘honour’.

The accused, who went into hiding after the incident, was nabbed by the police on Wednesday, he added.

City Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani, taking notice of the incident, had ordered the registration of a case and the immediate arrest of the accused.

CPO Hamdani said that violence and crimes against women and children are intolerable.

He directed the Rawat Police to prepare the challan against the accused with solid evidence to get him convicted from court.

The Rawat Police registered the case and managed to arrest the alleged ‘killer’ in a short time, the spokesman said.
