Sindh Rangers on 16-August-2025 claimed to have busted a gang allegedly involved in kidnappings and recovered a teenage boy during an operation near Islamia College on New MA Jinnah Road.

According to a Rangers spokesperson, four suspects were arrested: Aamir Ali, son of Roshan Ali; Bilal Ali, son of Mubarak Ali Sheikh; Faisal Rana, son of Rana Abdul Jabbar; and a woman, Gulzarah, wife of Shabbir Ahmed. Three of their accomplices managed to escape on motorcycles.

The recovered boy, 15-year-old Rashid Buledi, son of Roshan Ali, reportedly worked at a puncture shop in Karachi and had joined an Independence Day rally at Mazar-e-Quaid when he was abducted. In his initial statement, Rashid said the suspects posed as policemen, assaulted him, and forced him into their car.

During the raid, Rangers also seized illegal weapons, ammunition, police uniforms, handcuffs, and a car fitted with tinted windows and a police warning light.

Initial interrogation revealed that the escaped suspects included the gang’s leader, Nauman, son of Qari Riaz Hussain, along with Fareedul Haq, son of Syedul Haq, and Noor, son of Syed Amin. Rangers said Gulzarah was a close associate of the gang leader and facilitated their criminal activities.

The arrested suspects had been handed over to police, and three separate cases had been registered at Jamshed Quarters police station. Rangers said raids were underway to arrest the remaining gang members.
