Depressed students

1 min read

In this day and age it is very easy for students like myself to hand over our minds and bodies to depression. It is something which is seemingly increasing day by day among young people. In today’s world students are prone to go into depression as there is a lot of competition among them. Another major factor, in my opinion, is social media. Privileged people show-off on these platforms and the students who follow them feel downhearted and develop a mindset that they are somehow inferior.

As a student, I have gone through this torture and grief and it is very easy to fall back into depression. Parents need to be educated about mental health as they play a major role in helping their children through tough times. The government also has to play its role by organizing talks in colleges and universities on how to overcome depression. Interactive sessions with psychiatrists where students can open up about their issues may prove to be life-changing for students.
