Boy Raped In Lodhran; Attempt On Girl In Vehari

BAHAWALPUR: Police registered on June 28 two cases, one of a rape attempt on a minor girl and the other pertaining to alleged rape of a boy, reported in the limits of Gaggo Mandi, Vehari district, and Jalalpur Pirwala in Lodhran district, respectively.

In the first incident reported in Chak No 225/EB, as per Gaggo Mandi police, six-year-old ‘M’, niece of Muzamil, was playing in the street, when the suspect, ‘S’, finding her alone, lured her to nearby fields, where he attempted to rape her.

On hearing the girl’s screams, some passersby rushed to the scene. On seeing them, the suspect fled away.

On the complaint of Muzamil, the police registered a rape attempt case against the suspect, who is yet to be arrested.

In the other incident, reported to Jalalpur police in Lodhran district by one Irshad, a suspect ‘N’ allegedly raped his minor son ‘Z’.

The police registered a rape case against the suspect, who could not be arrested so far.
