SARGODHA: The Sargodha police on June 28 refused the news reports circulating on social media regarding the DNA report related to the Muntaha Zahra case, calling them baseless, misleading and contrary to facts.

It was clarified by a police spokesperson who said that no forensic or DNA report had been received in this case yet. He said that investigation into the case was still going on and the public should not believe sensational and unconfirmed news.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested the fifth suspect in the case as alleged by the complainant that five persons were present at Hanif Kiryana Store and when police reached the shop they unanimously said the girl child had come to the shop but returned after getting the articles. However, City SHO Sheikh Muhammad Safdar saw blood on the shoe of one of the suspects and went upstairs and saw another stain of blood in front of a washroom. Upon search, the body of the girl was found hidden under empty cartons.

The complainant party is of the view that it was planned murder with the connivance of multiple people as they all attempted to conceal the murder.
