Islamabad To Have First Ever Adventure Park

ISLAMABAD: City managers have decided to set up the first ever adventure park in Islamabad.

The decision was made in a meeting, which was chaired by Secretary Interior Mohammad Khurram Agha and attended by CDA Chairman Mohammad Ali Randhawa, the member environment and other relevant senior officers.

The meeting discussed the establishment of an Adventure City Park at an appropriate place in Islamabad. This will be one of the best tourist places in the capital in future.

Sources said that a site was not finalized yet, but there are chances that the park would be developed adjacent to Lake View Park.

Meanwhile, a press release said the meeting was informed that promoting tourism in Islamabad remained CDA’s top priority with all necessary resources being utilised for it. The Adventure City Park will include constructing walkways, cycling tracks, and integrating comprehensive environmental and recreational infrastructure. The meeting highlighted the significant potential for the tourism-related project in the capital.

The CDA chief said steps were being taken to further enhance the beauty and tourist resorts of parks through visually pleasing soft landscaping and eco-friendly tree plantation. He said that a strategy was being developed for the Adventure City project to ensure world-class standards of tourism as well as other faculties in order to cater to the needs of the citizens of Islamabad.

Mr Randhawa said that financial and operational viable models would be adopted for the Adventure City Park. He directed that installing a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) alongside the Adventure City should be ensured for environmental sustainability. The meeting directed that the project should be equipped with state-of-the-art recreational amenities to elevate Islamabad’s status as a premier global tourist destination.

The CDA chairman reiterated the civic body’s commitment to promoting Islamabad’s development as well as enhancing tourism and high-quality recreational facilities. He expressed his firm resolve to make all-out efforts for positioning Islamabad among the world’s most beautiful and tourism-friendly capitals.
