ISLAMABAD: Three Pakistani schools have been named among the Top 10 finalists for the World’s Best School Prizes 2025.

The prizes, launched by T4 Education in 2022 following the COVID-19 pandemic, aim to highlight innovative practices in schools that are transforming lives both inside and outside the classroom, according to a statement.

Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust Higher Secondary School, a charity-run primary and secondary school in Glaxo Town, Feroz Pur Road, Lahore, has been shortlisted for the World’s Best School Prize for ‘Overcoming Adversity’.

The school has introduced the International Baccalaureate (IB) and Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum, using an inquiry-based and inclusive model to equip marginalised children with essential 21st-century skills, the statement stated.

Beaconhouse College Programme, Juniper Campus, Quetta, has been named a finalist for the Community Collaboration category. The school has launched “Science Gaari,” a mobile, student-led science lab aimed at bringing real-world STEM education to children in underserved rural areas.

Nordic International School, Lahore, has also been shortlisted in the Community Collaboration category. The school engages parents in their children’s academic journey and promotes a culture of kindness to foster a positive learning environment.

Winners of the five categories, including Community Collaboration, Environmental Action, Innovation, Overcoming Adversity and Supporting Healthy Lives, will be selected by a judging panel based on set criteria. Additionally, all 50 finalist schools will be eligible for a public vote to decide the winner of the ‘Community Choice Award’.

The winners will be announced in October and will be invited to the World Schools Summit in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on November 15–16 to share their experiences with global education leaders.
