Suspect Held For Attempted Rape Of Minor Girl

HYDERABAD: Police arrested a man a few hours after he attempted to sexually assault a four-year-old girl in the Pinyari police limits of the city two days ago.

After the incident, the mother of the minor girl had contacted the Pinyari police for action. Hyderabad SSP Adeel Hussain Chandio, upon receiving information about the incident, had issued orders for an immediate inquiry and submission of a report.

Incharge Human Rights Cell Maria Sariyo and Pinyari police jointly inquired into the incident and submitted a report. SSP Chandio issued orders for the immediate arrest of the suspect. Later, police took action and arrested Taufiq alias Maarya. A case of this incident has been registered under Section 376 of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of the girl’s mother. The police have issued a report for a medical examination.
