Students’ Future at Stake as Board Migration Issue Remains Unresolved

1 min read

LOWER DIR: Dozens of students seeking migration to the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Malakand are facing uncertainty after the board allegedly declined to process migration cases from other educational boards in the province, putting their academic future at risk.

Speaking to local journalists at Timergara on Feb 17, the affected students said migration certificates were not being issued to those seeking transfers from various boards across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

With the deadline for intermediate admissions set for February 20, many fear they may lose the opportunity to enroll for the current academic session.

Dozens of students have been seen waiting in long queues at the board’s offices, while parents continue to make repeated visits in hopes of resolving the matter.

The students alleged that instead of providing a clear explanation, officials were resorting to delaying tactics, further deepening uncertainty and anxiety.

They warned that continued delays in the issuance of migration certificates could disrupt their academic year and adversely affect their educational prospects.

The students urged the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly the chief minister and the provincial education minister, to take immediate notice of the issue and direct the board authorities to process pending migration cases without further delay.
