Rawalpindi: Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Engineer Aamir Khattak has directed all district administrations to finalise comprehensive arrangements for the Matriculation (First Annual) Examinations 2026, commencing from March 27, under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi.

Chairing a high-level review meeting at the Commissioner’s Office, he emphasized that ensuring a peaceful environment for students and maintaining complete transparency in the examination process remain top priorities.

He stressed that strict monitoring must be enforced to uphold merit and safeguard the hard work of students. The commissioner instructed all Deputy Commissioners, Additional Deputy Commissioners, and Assistant Commissioners to conduct regular visits to examination centers within their jurisdictions.

He directed that arrangements at these centers be thoroughly inspected and that the performance of supervisory staff be closely monitored. District administrations have been asked to extend full support to educational boards to ensure fair and transparent examinations. In cases of any reported irregularities, immediate action is to be taken, including the registration of FIRs against those found responsible.

Highlighting the importance of a conducive environment, Khattak stated: “We aim to ensure that every student enters the examination hall with confidence, knowing that their hard work cannot be undermined by dishonest means.” He reiterated that cheating and interference by unauthorised individuals will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Additionally, Deputy Commissioners have been directed to ensure the attendance of all supervisory staff through Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of the DEAs. In cases of absenteeism, substitute teachers must be readily available to address any emergency. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against teachers who fail to perform their examination duties without valid justification.

The meeting was attended by Controller of Examinations Tanveer Asghar, Additional Commissioner Coordination Zenia Humayun, Additional Commissioner Mansoor Ahmad Khan, CEO Education, Director Colleges, while Deputy Commissioners of Attock, Jhelum, Murree, and Chakwal participated via video link.
