Security For Polio Drive Tightened

Lahore. Police have deployed  1000 cops for the security of  66,648 polio teams. The polio workers will administer teams for 2.2 million children. Over 381 upper subordinates and more than 1000 policemen have been assigned to ensure the safety of polio teams. In addition, 498 motorcycle units and 83 mobile patrol units will be actively monitoring and securing the field operations, he said. The campaign will continue from Dec 16 to 22, covering 27 union councils and 10 zones across Lahore.
