Rickshaw Driver Held For Raping Mentally Challenged Girl

LAHORE: Shahdara Police arrested a rickshaw driver accused of sexually assaulting a mentally challenged girl.

The suspect has been identified as Parvez, who lured and repeatedly assaulted the innocent girl. Upon receiving the tip, Shahdara Police acted promptly and arrested the accused. A case has been registered.

Theft bid foiled: Police Response Unit (PRU) of Nawab Town foiled a major theft involving valuables worth lakhs of rupees.

Four suspects – Dilawar, Rehan, Arsalan, and Adnan – were arrested for stealing mobile phones, wallets, laptops, and other items from homes.

Acting on local complaints, the PRU team conducted surveillance and captured the suspects, who usually operated in the early morning. Police recovered several stolen items including mobile phones, laptops, purses, cash, and ladies’ handbags.

Additionally, during routine patrolling, the PRU in Ichhra arrested a kite seller Bilal. Police stopped a suspicious motorcyclist and found over 30 kites and spools of string hidden in cartons.
