BAHAWALNAGAR: Additional District and Sessions Judge Sarfraz Ahmad sentenced a resident of Koryan Wali village to double life imprisonment on 14th March for raping his daughters.

A case was registered against him on Feb 2, 2024.

According to the FIR lodged at Saddar police station by the rape survivors’ mother, the couple had four daughters and two sons.

The FIR stated that their 15-year-old and 13-year-old daughters had been visibly anxious for a long time and feared being left alone at home. On Jan 19, 2024, both girls, in tears, revealed to their mother that their father had been sexually abusing them for the past six months.

Following this, the woman left her husband’s residence and took the children to her parents’ home.

The police registered a case under Section 376 (iii) of the Pakistan Penal Code, arrested the suspect, completed the investigation and submitted evidence to the court.
