Man Held For Rape, Murder Of Minor Girl

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Police arrested a suspect involved in the case of and murder of a minor girl on 9th February.

According to the first information report (FIR) registered with Iqbalabad Police Station, the complainant, a resident of Bahudipur Machian, told police that his 12-year-old sister resided with him. On Saturday night when the whole family was asleep, he suddenly woke up and found his sister absent from her bed. He along with two eyewitnesses searched for her sister in the light of torch. When they reached at a cattle house on west bank of Bahudipur Machian canal, they heard cries of his sister and the suspect subjecting her to rape. When they entered the cattle house, the suspect fled.

According to police spokesperson, they arrested the suspect and shifted the girl to Sheikh Zayed Medical College Hospital (SZMCH) for treatment where she died. He said that section murder would be added to the FIR after medical tests.
