Child Labor In Brick Kilns

1 min read

Forced child labor is a complex issue that affects millions of children worldwide, including in Pakistan. It is a violation of children’s rights and a serious obstacle to their development, education, and future prospects. Poverty, lack of education, and debt bondage force children to work in brick kilns, often in hazardous conditions. Weak enforcement of labor laws and inadequate protections enable exploitation, trapping families in a cycle of poverty and forcing children to sacrifice their childhood and education. To address child labor in brick kilns, strict labor laws should be implemented and enforced, education should be provided to children, and fair wages and better working conditions should be offered to adult workers.
