APNA Maternal and Child Health Clinic inaugurated

Rawalpindi: The APNA Foundation, working under the aegis of the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APNA), has formally inaugurated a state-of-the-art APNA Maternal and Child Health Clinic in Chakwal, marking a significant milestone in the development of healthcare services in the region, says a press release.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr Hamira Qamar, President of APNA, as the chief guest. A large number of distinguished professors, medical practitioners, and prominent social figures from across the country were also in attendance.

Addressing the gathering, Professor Jameel Akhtar, Secretary of the APNA Foundation, said that the primary objective of establishing the clinic was to provide quality and timely healthcare services to women and children in Chakwal and its surrounding areas. He emphasized that the APNA Foundation firmly believes in promoting philanthropic initiatives in the health sector, adding that the facility would prove to be a major relief for the local population. He expressed confidence that the clinic would contribute significantly to improving maternal and child health outcomes in the region. Later in the evening, a formal dinner was hosted by the APNA Foundation in honour of the guests.

The event was attended by former Punjab Provincial Minister for Health Dr Jamal Nasir, APNA President Professor Rao Babar, Professor Jameel Akhtar, Vice Chancellor Rawalpindi Medical University Professor Muhammad Umar, Chairman Khidmat Foundation Professor Mumtaz Hafeez ur Rehman, along with Dr Anwar-ul-Haq, Dr Imran Majeed, and several other notable personalities.

The speakers noted that the APNA Foundation, comprising Pakistani doctors based abroad, has been actively serving the people of Pakistan through various initiatives in healthcare, education, and social welfare.
