Two More Children Succumb to Pneumonia

Tragedy strikes again as pneumonia claims two more young lives, bringing the total number of childhood deaths to 318 this year.

In just 24 hours, 605 new cases of pneumonia were reported, with Lahore accounting for 177 of those cases. The province has seen a sharp rise in pneumonia cases and deaths, with over 20,872 cases reported so far this year.

Environmental pollution and smog during the winter season have been identified by health experts as major contributors to the rapid increase in pneumonia cases and deaths in Punjab.
