Couple’s Five Kids Suffer from ‘Mysterious’ Disease

SUKKUR: Five children of a couple have been suffering from a mysterious skin disease that has covered their all body parts.

The patients are now losing their eyesight as well, according to the couple.

Abdul Ghafoor Lashari, a resident of Gul Akbar Pathan village, located near Khanpur Mahar town of Ghotki district, told local reporters that he had taken his children to various health facilities but the disease could not be diagnosed. He said the children were even taken to the Gambat Institute of Medical Science (GIMS) in Khairpur, but without any positive results despite the best efforts made by doctors.

The patients are Reshma, 12, Maqsooda, 8, Nihalan, 6, Wajid, 14 and Zahoor Ali, 10.

Mr Lashari said that he had to sell all his household articles and other belongings after running out of money as the cost of prolonged treatment was heavy.

The disease has remained undiagnosed so for, he said.
