LAHORE: An elderly man allegedly slit the throats of his daughter and her three children, who have been living with him in his house in Multan, on 8th August.

Police said Irshad Bibi (36) had been living with his father, Waris Khokhar, in his house at Basti Malook, along with his minor sons, Ahmed Ali (2), Muhammad Ali (2) and six-month-old daughter Mehnaz, after developing differences with her husband, for the last two weeks.

Police said that Khokhar exchanged harsh words with his daughter over her separation from her husband and locked her and her children in a room.

Police said that later Khokhar entered the room with a knife and allegedly slit the throats of his daughter and her three minor children. They died on the spot.

On being called by locals, a police team reached the spot and found that the suspect had also locked himself in the room with the bodies of her daughter and her children after killing them. The police broke open the door and arrested the suspect.

Police also recovered the knife used in the triple murder and shifted the bodies to the morgue for autopsy.
