Honour Killing Case: Man Arrested For Murdering His Daughter

LAHORE: Lahore authorities arrested a man accused of murdering his 16-year-old daughter in an alleged honour killing case.

The incident occurred when the suspect, identified as Umar Daraz, allegedly stabbed his daughter to death for expressing her desire to marry a man of her choice.

The Lahore Police Operations Wing sprang into action after learning about the crime. DIG Operations Faisal Kamran took notice of the incident and formed a special investigation team headed by SP City Dr Ghayur Ahmed.

Through coordinated efforts and use of modern investigative techniques, the police team managed to track down and arrest the fleeing suspect within just two hours of the crime being reported.

According to police sources, the teenage victim was brutally stabbed multiple times by her own father.

The police spokesperson confirmed that the accused has been taken into custody and is currently being interrogated for further details about the crime.

DIG Kamran commended SP City, SHO Raiwind and the entire police team for their action in apprehending the suspect. He emphasized that such brutal crimes committed in the name of honor would not be tolerated, and that the police department remains committed to taking strict action against perpetrators of violence against women.
