A minor boy was found dead in a religious seminary in Gadap City’s Jameel Colony near the Super Highway on 14-May-2025. The Gadap City police said that the victim’s family had alleged that he was sexually assaulted before being murdered. According to a Karachi Police spokesperson, the body was recovered from Madrassa Khalid bin Waleed. The deceased was identified as 12-year-old Mujeebur Rehman, son of Abdul Bari.

The police, citing initial investigations, revealed that the boy’s naked body was found within the seminary’s premises. They added that he had been subjected to physical torture and was then strangled to death.

Following the discovery, the police collected evidence, and recorded statements from eyewitnesses. The investigation was ongoing, and police were examining all possible angles. Authorities were currently awaiting the results of a chemical examination report to determine the exact cause of death.

The victim’s family said that about five months ago, Mujeeb had complained about harassment at the seminary and added that the family had then contacted the seminary administration, which had given assurances.

Based on those assurances, Mujeeb resumed attending the seminary after Ramadan. The family demanded the immediate arrest of the suspect or suspects involved in the incident.
