Man Arrested For Rape, Murder Of Minor Nephew

LAHORE: The Township investigation police arrested a man on the charge of raping his nine-year-old nephew and strangling him to conceal his crime.

The suspect was booked on murder and other charges. The incident happened about one-and-a-half months back Initial inquiries suggested that the suspect was so clever that he pretended as if he was in utter grief over the sudden disappearance of his minor nephew and spent most of his time in search for the child when he went missing.

After the minor boy, identified as Ibrahim, was found murdered, the suspect also attended his last rituals.

A police official said the police solved the murder case using multiple options, including human intelligence and modern gadgets.

The police put the suspect, who was an addict, under observation due to his unusual body language and suspicious activities. When the police took him for interrogation, he confessed to committing the crime.

DIG investigation Zeeshan Raza lauded Investigating Officer Rehman Khawar for solving the murder case and arresting the suspect.
