RAWALPINDI: A teenage pregnant girl was allegedly murdered while a man was gunned down by his rivals over an old enmity in the Civil Lines police area, the police said on 7th February.

Syed Ahmad, a resident of Khayaban-i-Sir Syed, lodged an FIR with the police that his 17-year-old daughter was married to his nephew Zardad Khan. He said on receiving a phone call from his uncle, he rushed to Holy Family Hospital (HFH) and found his daughter’s corpse lying there with his brother-in-law and sister standing beside the body.

He said he was informed by his brother-in-law that his daughter, who was eight month pregnant, died after scaffolding fell on her. On seeing his daughter’s body and observing marks of strangulation around her neck and contradictory statements from his brother-in-law, he suspected that his daughter was murdered by her husband and his brother-in-law.
