College For Special Children Okayed

MARDAN: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved establishment of inter college for special children in Mardan.

Special Education Deputy Director Aneeq Ahmad said here on October 11 that the provincial government, while taking a historical step, approved the establishment of inter-college for special children in the district. He said that officials concerned in Mardan educational board had carried out registration of special children for the said college. He revealed that 23-special students had passed their matriculation examination this year including 17 boys and 6 girls. He further said that there was no arrangement for their higher education here in Mardan district.

He lauded the efforts of Miss Mashaal Yousafai, Advisor to KP Chief Minister for her best efforts to establish an inter-college for special children.
