Tech Platforms Used by Online Child sexual abuse offenders is a study released by Helsinki-based child rights NGO which provides alarming insights into the technology platforms frequently used by online child sexual abuse offenders. The research involved surveying over 30,000 active offenders and reveals significant information to combat the proliferation of online child sexual abuse. The study sheds light on the disturbing ease with which child sexual abuse material can be accessed on the open web, particularly through social media platforms and pornography websites. Shockingly, 77% of surveyed offenders encountered such material on the open web, with 41% finding information on accessing child sexual abuse material on the dark web.
