Police have launched an investigation into the mysterious death of a 13-year-old boy whose body was found outside his house near the Steel Town Sindhi Goth Football Ground in Bin Qasim Town on July 16.
According to rescue officials, the deceased was identified as Sabir, 13. The incident came to light after family members found him lying unconscious outside their residence early in the morning. The police were immediately informed and they reached the scene to begin an investigation.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that Sabir had returned home from a factory at around 6am. Shortly after his arrival, family members found him unconscious outside the house and rushed him to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
Police officials said the exact cause of death could not be determined at the scene. The body was shifted to the hospital’s morgue for a postmortem examination to establish the circumstances surrounding the death.
Investigators said the postmortem report would be crucial in determining whether the boy died of natural causes, an accident, poisoning or any other factor. Until the medical examination was completed, the police said they would refrain from drawing any conclusions.
As part of the investigation, the police were recording statements from the deceased’s family members and other individuals who may have information about the events leading up to the incident. Officers were also collecting evidence from the area and examining all possible angles to determine what happened.
