1 min read

LAHORE: In what appeared to be a horrific crime, a man allegedly raped a teenage factory worker, pumped air into his belly, and killed him in the Kahna area here the other day.

It is the second such barbarian act reported in Kahna area, as a blind street beggar was also allegedly murdered by three suspects in the same way in November 2019.

About the latest incident, the initial police reports suggest that 15-year-old Hassan Ali was an employee at a factory.

According to the first information report (FIR) lodged with the Kahna police by the victim’s father Nadeem Iqbal, suspect Shazor who also worked at the same factory, allegedly raped Hassan on the premises of the industrial unit.

He said the deranged man then pumped air into the boy’s belly, resulting in the rupture of the stomach and the intestines due to immense air pressure, causing his death.

He said the factory management initially tried to mislead him, claiming his son died after he suffered injuries while working there.

Nadeem urged the police to ensure that the culprit gets exemplary punishment for committing such a heinous crime.

A police official said the suspect had fled the scene and the case has been handed over to the investigation wing for further proceedings.
