Quality Education Stressed For National Progress

1 min read

LOWER DIR: Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Malakand Chairman Mohammad Nasim Khan stated that no nation could develop and progress without providing quality education to its children.

He was addressing a function after inaugurating a private educational institution at Shehzadi as chief guest here on Sunday. The function was also addressed by the Additional Deputy Commissioner Bashir Khan, divisional president of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) Abdul Ghaffar Khan, religious scholar Maulana Inayatullah Islahi and others.

The speakers stated that 20 million children were still out of school across the country, which posed a major challenge for the government. They appreciated the role of private educational institutions and remarked that, without their support, it would not be possible for the state to provide quality education to every citizen.

According to the speakers, young people should also pursue careers in sectors other than engineering and medicine. In order to give impoverished, worthy children access to a standard education for a bright future, the speakers urged the owners of private schools and colleges to offer free tuition to these pupils.
