Orakzai Girl Murder Case: 3 accused Killed while being taken to Crime Scene

KALAYA: Three accused in the murder case of a three-year-old girl were killed when unidentified armed men opened fire on them while being taken to the crime scene during investigation, police officials said on December 18.

The officials said that two police personnel were also injured in the attack. They said that the accused, including Zina Gul, Ihsan and Fazal Rehman, were being brought to the crime scene by the investigation team when unidentified gunmen opened fire on the police party. The three persons, accused in the murder of the girl, Maqdas Bibi, were killed on the spot.

The injured police personnel and the bodies of the deceased were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital. They officials said that the police cordoned off the area and launched a search operation while investigations were continuing. “Efforts are underway to apprehend the attackers,” said an official.

The three persons had allegedly killed three-year-old Maqdas Bibi on November 11. Zina Gul had allegedly abducted the child to extort money from a business partner and to claim a coal lease in his name. The girl was killed five days later after falling critically ill.
