Police suspect wood shop owner who had quarreled with the victim

RAWALPINDI. The body of a 9th-grade student, who went missing mysteriously from the Dhok Kala Khan in the limits of Sadiqabad police station, has been found.

According to the police, the boy’s throat was slit and he was brutally murdered. The police have taken custody of the body and sent it for a post-mortem.

On Thursday, Sadiqabad police received a complaint from Salahuddin, a resident of Farooq Azam Road, stating that his son, Muhammad Talal, left home at 7pm to meet his friend Ali Abbas but did not return. When questioned, Ali Abbas claimed he dropped Talal near a wood shop.

The family suspected that Daulat Khan and others kidnapped Talal. The police registered a kidnapping case and, during the investigation, found Talal’s body in the Sadiqabad area.

The police collected evidence with the help of forensic experts and sent the body for post-mortem, while raids were being carried out to arrest the nominated accused in the FIR.

Initial investigations revealed that a few days ago, Talal had a fight Daulat Khan, who owns a wood shop in the area.

Talal’s parents lodged a complaint against Khan and the police also suspect that Khan might be involved in the recent incident. The police officials stated that Talal left his mobile phone behind, and they were retrieving data from his phone and those who interacted with him.

The police are also investigating individuals who might be involved in the case and claim that the culprits will be arrested soon.
