A two-and-a-half-year-old boy was killed in a dumper accident in Malir’s Millat Town on August 27. According to police, the incident occurred when a speeding dumper rammed into a motorcycle. The heavy vehicle ran over the motorcycle, crushing the child under its wheels. The deceased was identified as Aun.

The boy’s uncle, Salman, who was riding the motorcycle at the time, sustained minor injuries, while the motorcycle was badly damaged. Both the injured and the child’s body were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for legal formalities.

Speaking to the media at the hospital, Salman said he was riding with his nephew when the dumper hit them from behind. He added that the impact caused the child to fall under the dumper’s wheels, killing him instantly. He further said that Aun was the only son of his parents.

The police later reached the spot, arrested the dumper’s cleaner, and seized the vehicle. However, the driver managed to flee the scene. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
