Rawalpindi: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Rawalpindi has announced that the Matric Second Annual Examinations 2025, which were earlier scheduled to begin on September 10, will now be held from September 29, 2025.

This decision has been taken in view of the current weather conditions, recent flooding in different parts of Punjab, and the difficulties faced by students and parents due to continuous rainfall. Postponing the examinations by almost three weeks aims to provide students with better facilities and a more conducive environment.

Chairman of the Rawalpindi Board of Education, Muhammad Adnan Khan, said, “The examinations have been rescheduled with students’ convenience as the top priority. The new date sheet will be issued within a few days.”

He further clarified that the change in the schedule of the Matric Second Annual Examinations will not affect the results of the Matric Second Annual and Intermediate Part-II examinations. The Board will continue all processes according to the set schedule to ensure that students’ academic year is not adversely affected.
