A tragic incident occurred near Do Darya on 31-July-2025 afternoon, where a man reportedly committed suicide by jumping into the sea along with two children.

Upon receiving the alert, police, rescue teams, and Cantonment Board staff rushed to the scene. Volunteers from the Edhi Foundation immediately launched a search operation for the three individuals.

According to SHO Agha Abdul Rashid Pathan of the Sahil Police Station, eyewitnesses reported that the man, estimated to be between 35 and 40 years old, jumped into the sea around 3pm with a young boy and girl. The rescue operation was hindered by the depth and strong currents of the sea, he added.

Another eyewitness also confirmed seeing the man leap into the water with the two children. Saad Edhi of the Edhi Foundation stated that the search was called off at sunset due to darkness. The operation involved eight divers operating on two boats. He added that the search for the missing individuals will resume on Friday morning.
