Couple, Minor Son Killed over Enmity in Swabi

SWABI: A couple and their two-year-old son were killed, and a minor daughter was critically injured when their rivals opened fire on them in Maneri Bala union council here on the night of November 12, the police and rescue officials said.

The incident occurred in Azad Kashmir village, and a rescue team shifted the bodies and the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital.

The doctors said that condition of the minor girl was critical.

A police official said that the man along with his family was on his way home on a motorcycle from the house of his father-in-law when his rivals opened fire at them near a nullah.

The cause of the incident was stated to be an old enmity between them.

Swabi city police station SHO Saifullah Khan said that the deceased were identified as Umar Khan, his wife Huma Gul and their two-year-old son, Mohammad Anzala. Dua Noor, their five-year-old daughter, was injured.

Nadar Khan, father of the deceased Umar, got registered an FIR with the Swabi city police station against his rivals. He nominated Awais Khan, Khizar Hayat and Amad Khan in the triple murder case.

The police said that they were conducting raids to arrest the suspected killers.
