In yet another episode of sexual violence in the jurisdiction of the F/9 Park, one of the biggest parks in Asia, a 12-year-old schoolgirl was raped by a youth.

The man trapped the girl from her home in F-11/1 through his younger sister and took her to the F-9 Park where he raped her forcibly.

The Margalla police, however, have arrested the alleged rapist on the complaint of the victim’s mother, police said. The alleged rapist has been identified as Sajid Hussain son of Talib Hussain who has confessed to his crime, said the police.

The mother of the victim, who is a resident of F-11-1, complained with the Margalla Police Station that on 16th March, a class fellow of her daughter came to her house and took her daughter with her.

The incident, reportedly occurring on March 16, was reported to the police on March 18. The FIR implicated both the girl’s friend and her brother.

The mother is a single parent after her husband divorced her, who supports herself and her daughter by working as a maid.

After FIR, the child was taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for medical examination which confirmed the rape of the minor girl.
