RAWALPINDI: Police have registered a case following the alleged sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl within the jurisdiction of Chaklala Police Station after suspects reportedly forced entry into her home, recorded the act, and subsequently attempted to abduct her while threatening to circulate the footage.

According to police, three nominated suspects, stated to be neighbours of the victim, along with three unidentified accomplices are being sought.

As per the complaint lodged by the girl’s mother, a resident of Dhok Chaudhrian, she had left her daughter alone at home after locking the house from the outside and departed for work with her husband.

Upon returning, they found the door open, household belongings scattered, and the girl missing. A search was initiated, and she was later found in a distressed condition in Safari One, a private housing society.

Upon being traced, the victim stated that she was at home when three individuals, identified as Roman, Rehan Zaheer and Rehan Shaukat, forced their way inside. When she raised an alarm, Roman allegedly gagged her and subjected her to rape, while the other two recorded the act. Following the assault, Roman allegedly threatened to circulate the video if she refused to accompany them. Out of fear, she went with the suspects.

She further stated that a white car was waiting in the street, occupied by a driver and two other individuals, and she was taken to a private housing society.

Upon being made to alight from the vehicle, a passer-by, noticing her distressed condition, questioned the suspects, prompting them to flee the scene.

Taking notice of the serious incident, Rawalpindi City Police Officer Khalid Hamdani constituted a special team and issued directives for the immediate arrest of the suspects.

Police said that the victim has undergone a medical examination and a case has been registered against the accused. Raids are under way to apprehend the three nominated as well as three unidentified suspects, and officials expressed confidence that the accused will be arrested shortly.
