LAHORE: A nine-year-old domestic worker was allegedly subjected to brutal physical violence by her employer in Lahore’s Ghaziabad area, leaving her injured and with a broken tooth.

Police said the victim, identified as Muqaddas, had been working at the home of a woman named Naheed in Tajpura.

The assault allegedly occurred after the child returned to work following a day’s absence without permission.

Enraged, Naheed reportedly beat her severely, causing facial injuries and knocking out a tooth.

Witnesses said that upon seeing the child bleeding, Naheed and her husband fled the house on a motorcycle.

Neighbours alerted police, who later registered a case on the complaint of the girl’s mother, Samina.

Police said Muqaddas has been provided medical treatment and that raids are underway to arrest the suspects. Authorities are also investigating whether the child had been subjected to prior abuse.
