Rawalpindi: District Education Officer (Secondary Education) Dr. Gul Ahmad has said that, under the revolutionary educational initiatives of CM Maryam Nawaz, the upgradation of all schools in Rawalpindi district will be completed before the 90-day deadline with an allocation of Rs937.0 million.
Renovation, new furniture, clean drinking water, and state-of-the-art painting will enhance students’ interest in academic and co-curricular activities, leading to their educational success.
Dr. Gul Ahmad expressed these remarks during an interaction with APP on 21-July-2025. He said that in phase-I, renovation work in all schools across Rawalpindi district has been completed.
“On their return to school after summer vacations, the students will find their schools transformed”, he said. He further elaborated that a survey report was prepared through school councils to identify schools with dilapidated buildings and submitted to the relevant authorities.
Dr. Gul Ahmad said that following the directives of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat, sizeable funds have been allocated to promote education in Rawalpindi, like in other cities of Punjab, to provide quality education to boys and girls.
