The funeral prayer for Musawir Khan, a young boy abducted and brutally killed, was held at Quetta’s Hockey Ground, drawing a massive crowd from across the city and province.

Emotions ran high as grieving residents, political leaders, and civil society members gathered to show solidarity with the bereaved family and condemn the horrific crime.

Tight security was deployed as mourners, many in tears, witnessed the heart-wrenching moment the child’s coffin was brought in. Musawir was kidnapped on November 15, 2024, from the Multani Mohalla area. After seven months in captivity, his remains were found in Mastung three days ago.

DNA tests confirmed the identity. Speaking at the funeral, the child’s uncle, Haji Malang, criticized the authorities for their failure to rescue Musawir alive.
