Suspected Murderer Of Minor Killed In Police Encounter

TAXILA: A suspect involved in sexual assault and murder of a nine-year-old boy was killed in an encounter with Wah Cantonment police on 26th June, police claimed.

The boy’s body was found from fields in Shadman town area on July 20, 2022. The autopsy report revealed that the boy was molested before being strangled to death.

The local police traced the suspect in Kashmir Colony area. When a police team raided his hideout, the suspect opened fire on the police team which was retaliated and the suspect killed in the exchange of fire.

Later the dead were identified as Rizwan Khan who was involved in child rape and murder case. His body was shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Taxila for an autopsy.

The police have launched a search for his two companions who fled.

Soon after the incident, senior police officers also rushed to the spot. A case was registered on behalf of the state against the fleeing suspects under section 302, 353 and 186 Pakistan Penal Code.
