A road traffic accident (RTA) in Baldia Town claimed the life of a four-year-old boy on 12-April-2025, while a motorcyclist injured in a hit-and-run incident near the Golimar pedestrian bridge a day earlier breathed his last during treatment.

In Baldia’s Abidabad area a speeding water tanker ran over four-year-old Affan Jasim, who was returning home after playing at a nearby ground. The boy died on the spot. The body was taken to Dr Ruth KM Pfau Civil Hospital Karachi.

SHO Imran Saeed said the tanker driver fled the scene immediately after the accident. However, police impounded the vehicle. A case was registered on the complaint of the child’s uncle, while efforts are under way to arrest the absconding driver.
