Mother, Stepfather Held For Killing Minor Boy

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The police have arrested the mother and stepfather of a six-year-old boy, whose body was recovered from a graveyard here in the small hours of 20th March.

Sub-divisional police officer (SDPO) Hafiz Mohammad Adnan said on March 21 that the boy was murdered by his stepfather, with the help of his mother. He confirmed that the child’s mother, Kiran Bibi, and stepfather, Tahir, had been arrested. The suspects were traced with the help of CCTV cameras.

The body of the child was found at Sehr on Thursday. According to the police, the child’s boy bore severe torture marks. It was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for postmortem.

The initial report confirmed that the child had been tortured before dying due to suffocation.
