Teacher To Be Booked For Student’s Torture

LAHORE: Sheikhupura District Education Authority Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rana Naeem sought a criminal case against the teacher of a private school for torturing a female student some weeks back.

The CEO conducted a hearing of a complaint lodged by the parents of a seventh grade student, Minahil, against the teacher, Ali Jameel, of Al-Fatima Educare Schools for Girls, Kharianwala, Sheikhupura.

The minor girl was beaten up by the teacher during the lecture on Jan 17 and she suffered severe injuries on different parts of the body. She was also admitted to the hospital and was being treated for an arm fracture.

The CEO held a hearing of the complainant and the teacher. He reprimanded the principal of the Al-Fatima Educare Schools for Girls, Kharianwala, and proposed the registration of a criminal case against the teacher and sent the case to the deputy commissioner for further action.
