School Peon Arrested For Allegedly Molesting Teenage Boy

TAXILA: A man was arrested in Hasan Abdal for allegedly molesting a teenage boy on the school premises, police sources said on 13th February. According to police sources, a complainant told the police that his 13-year-old brother worked at a furniture market adjacent to the school.

On Thursday, the suspect, who reportedly worked as a peon at a government girls’ high school, took him to the school and molested him.

After a medical examination of the victim, the police registered a case against the suspect under sections 376-II and 377-B of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and arrested him.

On the other hand, the district education department suspended the official with immediate effect and launched a departmental inquiry under the Punjab Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability (PEEDA) Act, 2006.
