Man Arrested For Torturing Son

LAHORE: Police have arrested a man for torturing his son from Khushab. A complaint was received at Virtual Child Safety Centre from Khushab, alleging that a man had tied up his son with ropes, tortured him. In the complaint registered at the Virtual Centre for Child Safety, the caller stated that the man locked his son in a room after tying him with ropes.

Upon hearing the child’s cries, a neighbour contacted the police for help. The Virtual Centre for Child Safety immediately dispatched police to the scene. Upon arrival, police freed the child from the ropes and transferred him to hospital. Khushab police registered a case after arresting the man.

According to a Safe Cities spokesperson, the child told the police that his parents frequently mistreated him and that he no longer wished to live with them. The Virtual Centre for Child Safety placed the child in the protective custody of a relative. The police warned the parents against further mistreatment of the child.
